Hello, this Excel system has sound’s good just a question:

How do you build this system, with some simple backtest and analyzing the past of forex market using metatrader platform or you did it with your own experience living and playing the forex market
day by day month by month and year by year?

    Thank you for your attention.

This system was designed taking into account our years of trading experience. We set out to create a tool that would ‘unlock’ the details of our trade data in a way that would help us improve our trading. We believe that we accomplished that with the Ultimate Trade Analyzer. In the short amount of time that I have been actively using this tool, I have discovered very valuable details that have helped me become more profitable, take less risk and spend less time trading. There is hidden treasure inside of everyone’s trade details. Until now, there has not been an effective way of getting it out in a usable way.

The software I have generates ten thousand trades over the past 30 years for several exchanges. How does your software import this data? Through ODBC? CSV file? How long does it take to analyze 10,000 trades?

All you would need to do would be to get it into an excel spreadsheet and then copy and past special the values into the UTA trade log as described in the training videos that come with UTA. But getting it into the right format could be very time consuming. To get weekly and monthly suptotals for example, you’d need a blank row between each date and a few more between each week and month. You would need a date and time for each trade in the proper format. Inserting 10,000 rows would take a while too. Our tools only allow for 50 rows at a time. All the formulas refresh with each 50 row insert. You would only want to put in one market/instrument per UTA tradelog/spreadsheet. As far as how long the analysis would take, it would depend on your own computer cpu power. I have’t seen a file that large so I don’t know for sure. Did you buy the UTA yet? I can ask our developer to work with you directly in getting your data into UTA if you’d like. Currently, we are big advocates on manually backtesting and inputting our trade data because of what it can teach us both logically and psychologically. It would be interesting to work with a large set of data such as yours though. Let me know if you’d like to work directly with our developer to see if we could help you further.

Not sure if that answers your questions. Let me know if you have a follow up.

Hi Allison, yes the UTA will work on Excel 2010 – we have a separate install video and download for you but it’s all located on the same training page. Thanks!
